Portugal is planning to repurchase two government bond lines and issue new debt worth €750 million to €1 billion, The Wall Street Journal reports. The new bonds, to be issued on March 9, will be due in September 2013. The two debt lines, maturing April 2011 and June 2011, have €4.252 billion and €4.913 billion outstanding, respectively. Earlier in February, the debt agency bought back €215 million of two bond lines at an auction and €215 million at a reverse auction earlier this week.
