Belgium has raised €2.95 billion through the sale of government bonds on April 18, 2011, The Wall Street Journal reports. The government has sold bonds worth €2.5-3.5 billion maturing in 2013, 2021 and 2041. The bid-to-cover ratio for the 10-year bond rose to 1.54 from 1.45, while it fell for the other two lines. Belgium has already issued €17.15 billion in bonds year-to-date and has covered half of its €34 billion issuance plans.
