Shaftesbury is planning to raise about £100 million in equity from its shareholders, Financial Times reports. The West End property specialist will raise the money to buy more properties in London’s entertainment and restaurant district. The real estate investment trust is likely to conduct an accelerated bookbuild of up to 10% of existing shares. Shaftesbury had raised £150 million through a fully underwritten rights issue in May 2009.
