The central bank of Egypt has raised about $2.2 billion through the sale of treasury bills, Reuters reports. The bank reduced the size of the auction from an initially planned $2.52 billion.Egypt sold $1.2 billion in 91-day bills as compared to the planned $1.34 billion and $672 million in 182-day bills in place of the initially expected $840 million. The country also sold $336 million in 273-day bills as previously planned.
