New York-based hedge fund, Galle Global Macro Partners, will shut down from Jan. 31, 2011, Bloomberg reports. The firm plans to return most money to investors in February. The fund is closing due to shrinking of its asset base, which is unable to support full-scale institutional macro business. Galle Global was founded by a former Fortress Investment Group executive, Sri Wijegoonaratna, in 2010.
