Meda will acquire Swedish brand, Antula, from U.K. pharmaceuticals company, Healthcare Brands. The Swedish specialty pharmaceutical producer will pay a total of about $278.3 million for the acquisition.

The agreement will be financed using the buyer’s current credit facilities. The transaction, which is subject to standard closing requirements and the competition authorities’ approval, is scheduled to be completed within two months.
