Swiss Life will acquire Nationale Suisse’s life insurance business effective from Jan.1, 2011, for an undisclosed amount. As per the agreement, Nationale Suisse will transfer its 32 employees from the business to Swiss Life. Upon completion of the deal, Nationale Suisse will start selling Swiss Life’s life products, while Swiss Life will offer Nationale Suisse’s non-life products to its customers. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of this year.
