Foreclosure activity slowed in February due in part to lenders working through concerns over their processes, according to ForeclosureRadar. The foreclosure data firm reported, for example, that notice-of-trustee sales in Arizona, one of the states heavily hit by the recession, fell nearly 28% from a year earlier with sales back to banks plunging roughly 39% from January. California recorded a 29.6% and Nevada a 25.2% decline in notice-of-default filings compared with February 2010.
