Spain is seeking to raise €5-6 billion in a sale of treasury bills, The Wall Street Journal reports. The 12-month treasury bills will be due on March 23, 2012, while the 18-month bills will be due on 2012.

The country is also planning to raise about €3.5-4.5 billion in a two part sale of bonds. The first tranche of notes will mature on April 30, 2021 and the will be due on July 30, 2041. The bond was launched through a syndicated issue on January 17 and this will be its first reopening.
