Investec Specialist Private Bank has rolled out a new lending service for the European closed-end fund sector, Financial Times reports. The new service will finance mergers between investment trusts, consolidation between fund management groups.

The funding offered by the Investec’s fund finance team, will not be invested in the closed-end funds they are linked to, adds Citywire. The lender will primarily focus on the U.K.’s investment trust sector with loan sizes of £5 million to £50 million.
