A dedicated low carbon finance scheme, backed by Carbon Trust Implementation Services and Siemens Financial Services U.K., is now open for business, CisionWire reports. The £550 million fund will help companies install energy efficient and low carbon technologies. The fund is seeking applications from organizations looking to fit measures, including cavity wall insulation, efficient lighting and biomass heating.

Siemens will provide the financial backing and manage the provision of funding. Carbon Trust will use its expertise in carbon saving from energy efficient technologies to independently assess the carbon, energy and cost savings of any project.
