Quadra FNX Mining is seeking to take over the mining operations of Swiss industrial manufacturer, Franke, in Chile. The Canadian copper, nickel, platinum, palladium, gold, cobalt, and molybdenum producer and explorer is finalizing the terms of the takeover. The transaction is expected to result in an improvement in operating efficiencies. Negotiations with the newly formed union at Franke are ongoing and the vote is expected during third week of February.
