The Cayman Islands government is seeking to make changes to its laws to set up a new Mutual Fund Administrators (MFA) license category, Cayman News Service reports. The move is designed to lure small to medium or niche service companies. The new license will cater to those units, which are planning to offer registrar and transfer agency services in the country. Currently, the mutual funds law does not permit an applicant to apply for a MFA license to conduct partial business.
