Standard & Poor’s Ratings Service has places 70 tranches of U.S. corporate-backed collateralized debt obligations on watch for potential upgrade as the credit rating agency has been more positive about the instruments in recent months. Declining default rates and improving credit quality are responsible for the potentially good news for 70 tranches total roughly $5.4 billion, according to S&P.
