The central reserve bank of Peru has sold $91 million in the foreign-exchange market on April 14, 2011, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Banco Central de Reserva del Peru also issued $124 million of sol-indexed certificates. The demand for dollars came from private pension funds, foreign investors and local agents. The central bank negotiated a total amount of $635 million in the forex sale.
