Federal Prosecutors Probe Icahn Enterprises After Short Seller Report

Following last week’s scathing report from Hindenburg Research, Carl Icahn’s firm has disclosed that the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York has requested materials and information from the company.

Last week, short seller Hindenburg Research published a report claiming that Carl Icahn’s investment firm, Icahn Enterprises, was inflating the value of its assets. Now federal prosecutors have opened an inquiry into the company.
