Tiger Global Changes Up Its Private Market Strategy

One of the most active venture capital investors is now emphasizing earlier-stage companies.

The collapse of the IPO market hasn’t slowed Tiger Global Management’s blistering activity in the private markets.

But the $90 billion Tiger Cub has recently increased its emphasis on earlier-stage companies, rather than late-stage companies gearing up to go public.

The investment firm headed by Chase Coleman and Scott Shleifer has already made 113 private investments in the first quarter, just five shy of its own record of 118 private investments made in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Crunchbase.
