Maverick Capital has gone from thriving to declining with its big bet on Coupang.

The Tiger Cub’s flagship hedge fund, Maverick Fund, had surged about 50 percent in the first quarter on the strength of its earlier private bet on the Korean e-commerce company backed by Softbank.
