These Are the Most Popular Hedge Fund Stocks

Hedge funds stuck to a lot of their favorites in the first quarter — but there were also several stocks that gained many new hedge fund investors, according to Novus.

Microsoft and Amazon.com once again remained the two most widely held stocks among hedge funds at the end of the first quarter.

However, both companies experienced a net reduction in their total number of hedge fund owners.

Microsoft had 361 hedge fund investors at the end of March, a net decrease of nine, according to an analysis of 13F filings by Novus, a data analytics company with a comprehensive database on quarterly hedge fund investment activity on U.S.
