TCI Posts 4% Gain in First Quarter

Chris Hohn targets several major companies as he continues to ramp up his Say on Climate initiative.

Chris Hohn’s TCI Fund Management posted a 4.1 percent gain in the first quarter, according to an investor.

The London-based activist runs a concentrated, long-only global portfolio of stocks, preferably of companies that dominate their industries or have near monopolies.

So far this year it has mostly benefitted from its large positions in Google parent Alphabet, cloud computing giant Microsoft, railroad giant Canadian Pacific, rating agency S&P Global and cable and broadband giant Charter Communications, according to the investor.
