These Hedge Funds Made Savvy Post-Covid Bets

Several stocks poised to benefit from a vaccine and the economy more fully reopening have surged already this quarter.

The stock market’s rotation into so-called open stocks — companies that will benefit from a coronavirus vaccine and the revival of industries most hurt by the pandemic — has seemingly taken most investors by surprise.

But not all of them. An analysis of the recent third quarter 13F filings confirms that a number of hedge funds made this wager as recently as September 30, the final qualifying day for them to file their 13F forms disclosing their equity holdings.
