Valiant Capital Partners suffered its first losing month of the year, a rare stumble on its way to its best-ever annual performance.

The firm, headed by Tiger Management descendant Chris Hansen, reported a 2.1 percent decline in October in the liquid portfolio of its Valiant Capital Partners Onshore fund, according to an investor and firm documents.
