Third Point’s private investments have helped propel the hedge fund firm into profitable territory in 2020, with the strategy adding to gains from its big credit bet earlier this year.
Privates kicked in 1.2 percentage points to Third Point’s 5.7 percent gross return this year through September, the firm’s monthly statistical report shows.
