A Short Squeeze May Be Coming for Covid Winners

Onetime laggards have soared ahead in 2020.

The tumultuous economy created in the wake of the ongoing Covid pandemic has turned some losing stocks into winners this year, wreaking havoc on short-sellers in those names.

And it could get worse, if short-sellers are forced to cover in a short squeeze, according to Ihor Dusaniwsky, managing director of predictive analytics at S3 Partners, which tracks short selling.
