Several long-only funds offered by prominent hedge funds firms surged during the market’s recent sharp rebound.

It’s too surprising that some long-short equity hedge funds were able to deftly navigate through the market’s sudden, sharp plunge into bear territory in late February and March, the equally sudden and sharp rebound, and overall heightened volatility.

What is surprising, however, is how well several long-only funds managed by these hedge fund firms are performing in the same environment.
