Greenlight Capital capped a stellar year with a 3.5 percent gain in December.
As a result, the value-driven long-short hedge fund firm headed by David Einhorn finished 2022 up 36.6 percent, making it one of the top-performing equity-oriented funds.
Last year’s gain was more than 55 percentage points better than the S&P 500, which lost 19 percent, and 2022 was also one of Greenlight’s best years since its launch in 1996.
