Bridgewater Posts Gains in July

One of its main funds is profitable for the first time this year even as founder Ray Dalio warns about the coming new paradigm.

One of Bridgewater Associates’ main strategies is back in the black.

Pure Alpha I, also known as PA 12 percent, rose 3.31 percent in July and is now up 0.35 percent for the year. This is the first time the fund has been profitable all year, according to a private database and a person familiar with the results.
