ValueAct Surges in First Half

Both its Master Fund and Spring Fund have outperformed the market.

ValueAct Partners is off to a strong start this year, as its two main funds are outperforming the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index.

The firm’s flagship ValueAct Capital Master Fund returned 20 percent for the first half of the year after posting a 2 percent gain in the second quarter, according to an investor.
