The hedge fund industry is apparently paying a big price for last year, when it suffered its worst performance since the financial crisis in 2008.

Redemptions rose, as did the number of funds calling it quits.Nearly two-thirds of all hedge funds lost money in 2018, according to an eVestment study prepared for Institutional Investor.
