A Majority of CTAs Lost Money in October

Investors doubled the amount of redemptions from the strategy in September.

So much for their uncorrelated returns.

Commodity trading advisors (CTAs) lost 1.33 percent in October, according to index provider BarclayHedge, which tracks hedge fund performance.

This is much less than the 7 percent losses posted by long-short managers last month, according to Goldman Sachs.
