Hedge Fund Stocks Fall More Than Index in October

Novus Research reports a “spooky” month, with few managers posting positive returns.

The bad news from October keeps coming.

The stocks owned by hedge funds that make up the Novus hedge fund universe fell 7.61 percent in October, slightly lagging the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index, which fell 6.84 percent, according to a Novus Research report out Monday.
