Another Early Tiger Management Seed Shuts its Fund

Another hedge fund with roots to Julian Robertson, Jr.’s Tiger Management is shutting down.

Emerging Sovereign Group, founded by J. Kevin Kenny Jr., Mete Tuncel, and Jason Kirschner, is returning $1.3 billion to clients, according to Bloomberg, citing a client letter.

ESG is also the fourth firm among the original class of Tiger Seeds highlighted by Institutional Investor in a December 2002 story to close.
