Light Street Raising Money for New Private Investment Fund

The Tiger Cub also tells clients why it liquidated its Facebook stake.

Light Street Capital Management is raising money for a new fund that will invest in private companies.

In its second-quarter letter dated August 23 and sent to clients of its long-short fund, the technology-oriented firm founded by Tiger Cub Glen Kacher said it is raising a dedicated growth equity fund “to formalize our private investment efforts.”
