Clinton’s comeback

George Hall, looking to become the comeback kid of the hedge fund industry, has been burnishing the Clinton Group’s public image with a little help from his friends -- like former senator John Breaux of Louisiana. Eager to put the pain of last year’s investigations by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission behind him (neither of which found any evidence that Clinton Group had mispriced securities), Hall, 44, recruited Breaux, whom he met on Nantucket Island last summer, as an adviser.
