Julian Robertson makes $10 million donation to stem cell research

The Tiger Management founder is funding a new center at Duke University.

The Robertson Foundation, overseen by hedge fund legend Julian Robertson, has donated $10.2 million for the creation of a new stem cell research center at Duke University. Some of the money will be used to construct a lab specifically for storing and creating therapeutic stem cells, which can be used in transplants to combat blood disorders and diseases.
