Why Smaller Isn’t Always Better

A new survey says institutions are starting to look to smaller managers for better returns. But judging by performance figures, maybe they shouldn’t.

Now here’s a surprising finding: Certain institutional investors are looking at relatively small hedge funds, according to a new report from Deutsche Bank.

A survey conducted by the investment bank found that endowments and foundations are now starting to consider hedge funds with between $250 million and $1 billion.
