The former Shumway Capital manager’s new fund, now managing at least $476 million, will close to new investors

It’s rare that early-stage fund managers would turn down money if offered the chance to build up fee-generating assets. But Glade Brook Capital Partners, a Greenwich, Connecticut firm founded just 15 months ago by Paul Hudson, an alum of Tiger spin-out Shumway Capital Partners, doesn’t believe in growth for size’s sake.
