The Morning Brief: Despite Solid Quarter, Apple Swoons on Guidance

Shares of Apple slumped between 5 percent and 6 percent in early after-hours trading Monday despite reporting fiscal first quarter earnings that came in above expectations. However, investors apparently are focusing on the fact that the maker of iPads and iPhones delivered second quarter guidance that was lower than analysts were anticipating.
