Succession planning is a tough subject in the hedge fund community, where a firm's investors often go out the door with the firm's founders. But Kenneth Brody and Frank Brosens of Taconic Capital Advisors don't seem concerned. After a remarkable career spanning several decades, Brody, who turned 70 years old in 2013, retired from the multistrategy firm he co-founded in 1999 with Brosens, 56, on January 1, 2014 to focus on philanthropy through non-profit organizations that support troubled youth. Though he has handed day-to-day management of the firm over to Brosens and CIO Christopher DeLong, Brody is still a principal and advisor at the firm.
