Credit Suisse Hedging-Griffo is a pioneer in the Latin American hedge fund market and has helped solidify the notion that hedge funds can be successful in Brazil, a country with historically turbulent and unpredictable financial markets. Still, Brazil's markets are steadily improving; while many countries floundered for years after the 2008 financial crisis, Brazil endured a brief two-quarter recession before recovering in mid-2009.
