Citadel Begins 2015 Strongly Across a Number of Strategies
Chicago firm outpaces a falling S&P 500 and takes passive stakes in eight companies since year-end.
Kenneth Griffin, Citadel (Bloomberg)Kenneth Griffin’s Chicago-based Citadel has gotten off to a solid start this year, posting strong results in several of its funds. The firm’s main multistrategy funds, Wellington and Kensington Global Strategies, each jumped 2.8 percent. Citadel Global Equities surged 3.7 percent, while Citadel Tactical Trading rose 3.4 percent.
