Another day, another hedge fund is closing down, or so it seems.
Last week, East Setauket, New York-based Renaissance Technologies said it is shutting down the Renaissance Institutional Futures Fund (RIFF), while New York-based Fortress Investment Group mercifully decided to shut down the loss-plagued Fortress Macro Funds.
