Paris, France–based Amundi Alternative Investments likes to think of itself as a one-stop-shop for alternative investments, but it hasn’t always been that way. When the firm, the fund-of-funds division of Amundi Asset Management, was established in 1992, it managed only parent company Crédit Agricole Group’s assets. (Amundi was jointly founded by Crédit Agricole, which owns 80 percent, and Société Générale, which owns 20 percent, in 2010. It was formerly known as Crédit Agricole Asset Management.)
