Where to stay in 48 cities around the world

Institutional Investor’s 2003 fast-picks guide to the world’s best hotels by city.

Quick, what’s the best place to stay in Paris or London or, for that matter, Dubai or Shanghai? That is the question our fast-picks guide to the world’s best hotels is designed to answer. Institutional Investor’s no-frills Baedeker to hostelries that are anything but no-frills is based on our annual survey of the world’s best hotels, the results of which appeared in the November issue. Here we’ve added 18 cities to the 30 that are covered in that best-hotels ranking. New to the best-by-city club this year: Amsterdam’s De l’Europe, Brussels’ Amigo and Philadelphia’s Four Seasons.
