Prideaux previously spent nearly three decades with BlackRock and its former companies, beginning in 1988. He rose to lead the American asset management giants institutional client business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
BlackRock overhauled its team structures in 2016, and combined its active and passive, or quantitative, units into a single department globally. Prideaux became head of active investments for EMEA.
Roughly one year later, he reportedly left the firm.
Prideaux begins his new position at Schroders on October 2, the London-based company said. He will report to Global Head of Product Richard Mountford.
We have big ambitions for our Solutions business, Mountford said in a statement. He lauded Prideauxs breadth of asset-class experience, and said he believes clients will benefit from his talent and knowledge.
