Markit, a global financial information services company, is offering its market-moving Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data through Thomson Reuters News Feed Direct, an ultra low-latency feed of machine-readable news. Thomson Reuters News Feed Direct is designed specifically for algorithmic and high-frequency trading.
PMI data on News Feed Direct is delivered over Elektron, Thomson Reuters’ high-performance global infrastructure. The data, which will be released simultaneously in the firm’s hosting sites worldwide, will allow customers to trade on information anywhere they conduct business. This information can be directly plugged into the firm’s trading strategies. PMI data will also be available through Thomson Reuters’ next-generation desktop Eikon.
