GE Foundation Grants $1.6M

The GE Foundation has granted $1.6 million to an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University.

The GE Foundation has granted $1.6 million to an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, Business Journal reports. The money will be used to help develop lifesaving technologies for women and children in developing countries.

Baltimore-based international non-profit Jhpiego will utilize the funds to build new products as part of its Innovation Development Program. The grant will also aid the Global Health Innovation Fellowship Program, which is a joint effort of Jhpiego and Hopkins’ Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design.
