Adam Eades has been appointed by Bats Europe, a division of Bats Global Markets, as head of regulatory and legal affairs. Based in the Bats Europe headquarters in London, Eades will be reporting to CEO Mark Hemsley.
Eades joins Bats from international investment management firm Henderson Group, where he headed legal, compliance and corporate secretariat activities in Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and Australia. Formerly, he also headed the European legal division for global operator of financial markets NYSE Euronext and was NYSE Liffe global head of legal affairs in charge of legal issues linked to derivatives.
