Private investment firm Fir Tree Partners has closed its Real Estate Opportunity Fund II. With the fund’s final close, it now has a total $628 million in commitments and has surpassed its initial $500 million target.
The fund aims to create a strategic advantage for the company’s existing and new investors through an investment mandate across capital structures comprising commercial and residential real estate markets. The firm floated its first real estate fund in 2008 to provide its existing investors a focused real estate exposure.
