Canada’s TMX Group is establishing offices in Asia, Reuters reports. The move comes as the exchange operator seeks to attract Chinese listings and further strengthen its position as one of the world’s top resource hubs.
As part of the move, TMX has opened a representative office in Beijing, its second office outside North America. The company will mainly focus on advancing Canada’s capital markets and equity exchanges. Earlier in 2011, it set up an office in London.
